Experience the Orangery

Here Comes the Sun
Layered with greenery and thoughtful textures, the orangery at Annex on 12th is a light-filled retreat that reflects the building’s focus on creating intentional, uplifting places for community. Traditionally built to nurture citrus trees, an orangery has always been about growth and light — and here, that spirit carries through in a way that feels fresh and modern. The design draws from the historic building’s Art Deco roots, with balanced proportions and refined details that bring a sense of harmony to the room.
Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the orangery with natural light, creating distinct yet connected spaces throughout the room. At the center, the dining area draws focus with a black table surrounded by soft green chairs — a refined, welcoming setting for gatherings and shared meals. Adjacent to the dining space, the kitchen and island form a seamless hub for both cooking and casual conversation. A marble-topped island with integrated seating offers a relaxed spot for morning coffee or evening wine, while warm wood cabinetry and built-in appliances create a polished, functional backdrop. Along the perimeter, café-style seating by the windows provides a quiet, sunlit corner for reading, working, or simply enjoying the view.
